Main responsibilities:
Under the line management of the Program manager and with a functional link with SRH advisor and GBV advisor, the SRH/GBV officer will:
- Implement the mission’s SRHR activities as defined and in accordance with established protocols and procedures in the Rafic Hariri University Hospital birth center
- Ensure that GBV is implemented and integrated into the birth center’s operations.
- Ensure the quality of SRHR and GBV activities through regular monitoring and technical support to MdM program and partner
The main responsibilities and activities of the SRH/GBV officer can change depending on the evolution of the context, the work organization and the team composition.
Main activities:
- Ensure the implementation of developed GBV action plan under ECHO project
- Deliver training sessions on MISP, SRHR (obstetric and newborn protocol including post abortion care), and GBV to project staff within MdM and partner organizations
- Managing the birth center’s midwives
- Follow-up on the quality of GBV safe identification and referral mechanisms and data collection and reporting tools.
- Contribute towards the preparation of tools and procedures on SRHR and GBV
- Participate in designing curriculums and training materials on SRHR and GBV
- Draft activity reports

Requested Profile
- Midwife or BS in nursing or BS in public health with 4 to 5 years of experience with an NGO or INGO
- Strong experience related to primary health care, maternal and child health, SRHR and GBV
- Strong knowledge of national obstetric and newborn protocol
- Excellent interpersonal skills: maintain a transparent, honest and supportive communication structure within a team
- Proficiency with Microsoft word and excel.
- Knowledge of PHENICS
- Arabic and English languages are mandatory – French added value
