The Committee of the families of the kidnapped and the disappeared in Lebanon CFKDL is recruiting an administrative assistant in favor of the National Commission for the Missing and Forcibly Disappeared in Lebanon NCMFD.

The NCMFD is an independent institution established by the Lebanese Council of Ministers in June 2020 in implementation of the Law 105/2018 to search for the missing and forcibly disappeared persons in result of Lebanon’s conflicts.

Job Title: Administrative assistant

Timing and Terms: Full-time position, start date immediately, yearly contract, renewable depending on performance/funds

Location: Furn El Chebback, Beirut

Salary: US$ 800 per month

Role and Tasks:

Under the supervision of the Vice-president and the Project Manager, the administrative assistant is expected to:

  • Manage NCMFD correspondences.
  • Organize NCMFD archives.
  • Schedule, organize and follow up on meetings, including coordinating printing materials and logistics.
  • Support the Project manager in the implementation of NCMFD’s activities and work plan.
  • Undertake scanning of all media and social media outlets, and archive all news related to NCMFD.
  • Follow up on budgetary and administrative issues related to all NCMFD events.
  • Monitor office needs and expenses
  • Manage the petty cash of NCMFD
  • Request quotations and place orders after approval
  • Attend meetings where needed
  • Maintain and manage data in Excel sheets

 

Knowledge, competencies and skills required

  • A university degree in administrative or secretarial services.
  • Professional experience in administrative work
  • Knowledge in budgeting matters.
  • Good Arabic and English language skills both written and spoken.
  • Computer skills: Word, Excel, Power Point.

  • High level of self-motivation and initiative.
  • Collaborative, flexible and solution-oriented.
  • Good time management, ability to prioritize workload, assume responsibility for work, and follow through to completion.
  • Commits to the Code of ethics of the National Commission.
