Graphic Designer for Booklet

Mada is seeking a Graphic Designer to design a booklet under the 'Biodiversity in a Box – Bringing Nature Back to the City' project, funded by the French Embassy and implemented by Mada Association. Through this project, Mada installed 30 biodiversity boxes in blast-affected neighborhoods in Beirut.

The Graphic Designer will design a 2-3-page booklet in English and Arabic (2-3 pages per language) which consists of a Case Study about the project. This booklet will feature figures, pictures, graphics, and stories of beneficiaries. The Graphic Designer will ensure the booklet is visually appealing, interesting, and creative, incorporating all parts provided by Mada.

Main Responsibilities and Duties:

• Propose to Mada a design for the booklet (A5) in line with Mada’s expectations for the Case Study, Mada’s visual identity, and following the donor’s visibility guidelines.
• Adjust/revise the design based on feedback. An estimated three rounds of back-and-forth are expected to lead to the final selected design.
• Advise Mada on the specifications for the eventual printing.
• Support Mada in obtaining three quotations for printing and provide recommendations/approval on the samples received.

Deliverables:

• Design of a A5 2-3-page booklet (English and Arabic versions).
• Specifications for the printing.
• Three quotations from three different printing houses..

Requirements:

• Bachelor in Graphic Design or equivalent.
• At least 5 years of experience in graphic design or related fields.
• Experience working with NGOs in the development sector.
• Proven relevant experience in similar projects.
• Ability to collaborate closely with the project team, incorporating feedback to align the design with the project's messaging and objectives.
• Effective communication skills and responsiveness to inquiries and requests.
• Commitment to delivering a high quality, professional design that align with the project's objectives.
• Ability to meet deadlines.
