Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plan and oversee the implementation of the relevant MHPSS project in South, BML, North and Bekaa.
- Contribute to the development of the curriculum on evidence based MHPSS interventions, such as PFA and PM+, as well as on self-care, targeting the Outreach Volunteers.
- Provide Capacity Building of Partners’ staff and volunteers in MHPSS Package (PFA, PM+, self-care…)
- Conduct a mapping of national and global community-based PSS interventions that are evidence-based, scalable and sustainable with the aim to suggest other community-based PSS interventions that are evidence-based, scalable and sustainable for the coming years – in coordination with the National Mental Health Programme
- Coordinate & manage the implementation phase of the MHPSS projects in coordination with the focal points in partners’ organizations & the MHPSS manager.
- Assist partners staff and OVs to establish and maintain adolescents peer support groups in line with programme targets, and conduct regular training and supervision visits, under the technical oversight of the MHPSS manager.
- Represent Medair in all steering committee meetings of MHPSS program with partners.
- Ensure the proper implementation of the MHPSS activities through regular follow-up coaching & supervision of implementing partner staff (OVs, psychologists, coordinators, etc.).
- Act when needed as requestor for the project budget ·
- Collect and ensure accuracy of PDF payments for incentives, tools, supplies… and send to MHPSS manager on a timely basis.
Support the logistics activities for the assigned activities as delegated by the MHPSS manager
Volunteers and partnerships management:
- Supervise and support partners’ staff and volunteers in their day-to-day activities.
- Delegate tasks and responsibilities effectively to the assigned team (when needed), leveraging the strengths and skills of team members to optimize performance.
- Identify training and development needs within the assigned partners’ staff and volunteers and develop plans to address them.
Quality Management/Work.
- Implement quality assurance policies, procedures, and standards to ensure that project activities and deliverables meet established quality benchmarks and organizational objectives.
- Collect, analyze, and synthesize data and information from project activities and stakeholders including partners to identify strengths, weaknesses, and areas for improvement.
- implement action plans and addressing identified gaps, challenges, and bottlenecks in project implementation.
- Regularly visit programme sites to ensure that the community at large are appropriately supported and qualitative and quantitative programme objectives are achieved.
- Ensure compliance with donor requirements, organizational policies, and industry standards in all aspects of project implementation, including financial management, procurement, and reporting.
- Communication and Coordination:
- Facilitate effective communication within the organization.
- Support internal and external meetings, workshops, and training sessions, ensuring participation and engagement from relevant stakeholders.
- Assist in managing external communications with partners, donors, government agencies, and other stakeholders.
- Support the development of communication materials such as reports, newsletters, and presentations for external audiences
Proposals and Reporting:
- Ensure accurate and timely written reporting according to Medair, donor and other applicable timeframes and formats.
- Submit timely weekly and monthly reports to MHPSS Manager and to other needed reporting systems.
- Provide accurate regular reports, statistics, and documented results and maintain detailed records of the
- overall MHPSS program activities in the field.
Person Specification
- Bachelor’s degree in psychology.
Trainer in PM+
Minimum 3 years of related experience including:
PSS activities with adolescents.
Projects and teams management.
Experience providing supervision and coaching in MHPSS activities including focused interventions: Psychological First Aid, Problem management plus, staff care & wellbeing.
Good planning and reporting skills.

- Strong working knowledge of written and spoken Arabic and English
- Excellent knowledge in Microsoft programming and Outlook
