- Transport hospitalized patients to treatment units, testing units, operating rooms, or other areas, using wheelchairs, or stretchers.
- Help in transporting patients in ambulance from the hospital to another.
- Transport deceased patients to the morgue.
- Transport specimens, laboratory items, or pharmacy items, ensuring proper documentation and delivery to authorized personnel
- Bring needed equipment, and lab results requested during arrest.
- Direct visitors and patients’ families when needed.
- Answer telephone.
- Perform such duties as holding instruments, specimens to laboratory departments.
- Collect and send equipment needed for sterilization to CSSD department during day and evening shifts.
- Provide nursing units with needed supplies.
- Perform daily round on assigned nursing floors
- Perform personal hygiene care to patients (bathing, oral care, hair care, perineal care, etc…)
- Perform postmortem care (cleanness, roll in clean cover…)
- Assist patients in elimination hygiene (bathroom, bedpans, urinals)
- Turn or reposition bedridden patients.
- Lift or assist nurses to lift patients to move them on or off beds, examination tables, or stretchers.
- Help organize patient’s environment by ensuring cleanliness and tidiness of patient’s room.
- Maintain patient safety by practicing proper: patient identification, infection control practices, and PPEs.
- Maintain professional communication and etiquette with all patients, visitors, and other health care personnel
