Sign Language Specialist-Glow Center, Tayouneh

Tasks and duties

1. Coordinate and collaborate with the training coordinator, center management, program's management, and relevant departments to ensure the provision of effective sign language translation services within the center's activities.
2. Provide sign language interpretation and support for individuals with hearing impairments during training sessions, workshops, and other related activities.
3. Work closely with the monitoring and evaluation team to assess the progress and development of individuals with hearing impairments, ensuring their needs are met and their participation is maximized.
4. Collaborate with the media team to ensure the inclusion of sign language requirements in course materials and the coverage of sign language aspects in media content related to training programs.
5. Facilitate the registration process for students with hearing impairments, maintain regular communication with them, and provide ongoing support to ensure their active participation and progress.
6. Assist in the preparation and development of training materials, incorporating sign language elements under the supervision and coordination of the training coordinator and center management.
7. Coordinate with other trainers and facilitators to foster an inclusive and accessible learning environment for all participants, promoting the integration of sign language and creating an inclusive atmosphere.
8. Support the center's management in organizing and facilitating workshops and activities related to sign language and inclusive education.
9. Ensure the accuracy and quality of data and reports related to sign language services, and share them with the head office as required.

10. Contribute to periodic reporting and participate in field needs assessments and the generation of project ideas to enhance sign language provision and inclusivity within the training center.
11. Perform any additional duties assigned by the center's management and the program's management that are relevant to the sign language specialist's experience and job position.

Qualifications

• Demonstrate awareness of the main principles of protection and experience working with adolescents and youth.
• Have previous experience in training work and working with youth centers.
• Proficient in using MS-Office software and skilled in navigating the Internet.
• Ability to organize individual meetings, case studies, and facilitate focus group meetings.
• Experience in charitable work and organizations, showcasing a commitment to serving the community.
• Strong team spirit, ability to work collaboratively, and excellent interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrate awareness and commitment to humanitarian standards in all aspects of work.
