Trainer for Social Media in Politics

Project Description:

Young Politalks is a project managed by Fiftyfifty and funded by the Australian Embassy in Lebanon. It aims to engage Lebanese youth from different political backgrounds in socio-political dialogues and discussions to foster confident decision-making processes and raise awareness on Gender Equality. By promoting non-sectarian, non-violent, and non-discriminatory communication, this project creates a platform for constructive dialogue and empowers youth to shape the nation's future.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a structured PowerPoint presentation on the role of social media in politics, covering its impact on electoral campaigns, public discourse, and governance.
  • Create comprehensive training materials tailored to participant needs, including case studies, campaign strategies, and ethical guidelines.
  • Conduct interactive training sessions on social media strategies, campaign development, public speaking methods, and political engagement techniques.
  • Design and administer a pre-training questionnaire to assess participants' baseline knowledge and customize training content accordingly.
  • Implement interactive post-training methods such as simulated campaign exercises, analytics interpretation workshops, and group discussions to evaluate comprehension and skill acquisition.
  • Compile a detailed report summarizing training outcomes, participant feedback, and assessment results to measure training effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
  • Facilitate engaging and interactive training sessions to enhance participant retention and practical application of social media skills in political contexts.
  • Ensure inclusive participation by amplifying the voices of marginalized groups, including women, youth, and individuals with disabilities, in discussions and activities.
  • Define conditions and best practices for successful engagement in political processes using social media platforms.
  • Educate participants on the significance of social media in politics, emphasizing its role in shaping public opinion, promoting transparency, and fostering civic engagement.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in utilizing social media for political purposes, including campaign management and advocacy.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in designing and delivering comprehensive training programs, with a focus on digital communication strategies.
  • Expertise in content development and curriculum design, particularly in integrating social media tools into political campaigns and public engagement.
  • Strong communication, writing, and presentation skills to effectively convey complex concepts and facilitate interactive learning experiences.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities to coordinate training logistics and meet program deadlines.
  • Flexible schedule availability to accommodate diverse training needs and support participant learning.
