Society for Social Support and Education (SSSE) is seeking to employ 1 dynamic and experienced Arabic Teacher to teach students in one of educational center located in the Bekaa region - Ghazzah. S/he will assist in providing non-formal education program, during the afternoon shift, to Syrian Refugee children between ECE1 and Grade 6.
MAJOR DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
- Participate in the planning and implementation of the non-formal Arabic education activities including: outreach, community mobilization, awareness session, training.
- Plan, prepare and deliver lessons according to the non-formal curriculum.
- Assess and report on the behavior and progress of students.
- Assign and grade class work, homework, tests and assignments.
- Manage students' behavior in the classroom by establishing and enforcing rules and procedures.
- Register and monitor the attendance of students.
- Ensure highest standards of quality and applying up-to-date teaching methods.
- Collaborate with the school principal, teachers, parents and stakeholders and participate in regular meetings.
- Participate in subject unit, school, and parent meetings.
- Communicate necessary information regularly to students, colleagues and parents regarding student progress and student needs.
- Help in executing educational in-class and outdoor activities and events.
- Observe and understand students' behavior and report any neglect, abuse, etc.
- Attend all training courses provided by SSSE.
