Protection Technical Officer - South Lebanon (Zahrani-Saida-Nabatiye) - Pending

  • Conduct qualitative data collection, assessments, key informant interviews and focus group discussions to identify community needs and protection service gaps.
  • Assist the team in identifying and responding to emergency cases, especially internal referrals.
  • Participate in mapping exercises and assessments aimed at identifying the locations and needs of vulnerable populations and the surrounding neighborhoods, by using participatory data collection tools and methodologies.
  • Capacitate protection staff at area level on how to identify complicated child protection cases and support with adequate follow up.
  • Conduct individual protection risk assessments on CP cases.
  • Accompany field staff on beneficiary visits at all stages of the project to apply risk assessment, case management and support the team with handling any additional protection risks and any unforeseen negative consequences.
  • Follow up and ensure having an effective referral system.
  • Coordinate, follow up, and carry out regular training/awareness raising sessions for staff and communities on the child marriage guidelines and tools.
