The Project Officer should have the ability to manage a variety of projects simultaneously under minimal supervision is required. The job requires a great deal of multi-tasking and the initiative to complete tasks, involves field work and commuting.
Excellent oral and written communications skills are required daily to coordinate the needs of the project and office.
Project Management:
Designing, coordination, implementation, and reporting of programmes and projects
Budget planning, review and follow-up as well as financial monitoring and reporting in collaboration with Finance Officer
Assisting with procurement and help ensure that procurement is in line with the organization’s internal policy
Coordinating data collection according to logframes and project objectives
Collecting timely reports from local partners and finalize interim and final narrative/financial reports to donors in accordance with relevant templates, requirements and deadlines
Ensure funds expenditures within budget parameters, in line with programme activity plans and financial policies
Assisting in capacity building and training of local partners to ensure proper management and compliance with programme/project requirements
Contributing to designing and drafting project/grant proposals as relevant
Programme Quality Delivery:
Regular/ Routine monitoring of the projects work plans, financial/cash flows, and milestones
Coordination with Director to ensure projects adhere to the quality benchmarks (SoPs, Sectors Guidelines, partnership guidelines as well)
Maintain a close working relationship with technical teams to support coherence in approaches, raising and follow up on key issues and strategy development
Coordination and production of project reports and other deliverables
Organize and participate in field visits by donors and partners
Monitoring and Evaluation:
Support monitoring and evaluation efforts to document project outputs, outcomes, and impact to inform donor and other internal reporting;
Ensure that technical quality and standards are considered and respected during project implementation;
Ensure the project progress is effectively monitored through regular data collection, analysis of indicators and activities and documented with proper sources of verification;
Advise on and assist with project reviews conducted by internal and external monitoring and evaluation team

University degree;
Proven track record of working in a similar capacity with the national and/or international NGOs in the region;
Highly skilled in report writing and typing in both Arabic and English (French is a plus);
Excellent oral English and Arabic communication skills
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
