Education Program Manager

Job Summary

The Education Program Manager will lead the design, implementation, and evaluation of program activities, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. The Education Program Manager will collaborate with internal teams, stakeholders, and partners to optimize the delivery of services. Responsibilities include overseeing curriculum development, coordinating caregiver and parental engagement, and integrating health, nutrition, and child protection components into the educational framework. Strong project management, leadership, and communication skills are essential for ensuring program success.

 

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

Program Management

  • Ensure program’s strategic objectives and results are fully accomplished and meet expected technical quality standards.
  • Ensure that vision and plans for the program are innovative and are in line with SHiFT mission and vision
  • Management and Implementation of the program activities within the budget, time and the scope defined.
  • Develop steps and procedures in the planning and implementation of Education projects.
  • Develop steps and procedures in the planning and implementation of Education projects.
  • Assist in the definition and development of program scope and objectives.
  • Develop activities process including the design, action plan, budget, timeline, staffing needs, budget requirements, logistics, and outreach.
  • Develop steps and procedures in the planning and implementation of Education projects.
  • Prepare the implementation project plan in coordination with the Programs Director.
  • Develop and implement program activities and operations on-time, within scope and within budget.
  • Act as the focal point of the program to manage and process program’s requests with the related team members.
  • Ensure proper reporting required by the program and MEAL monitoring and updates and tracking of KPIs to meet and exceed if applicable, program’s impact.
  • Proactive budget planning, monitoring, and management with the finance team.
  • Supervises the communication plan for the program with the communication department.

Team Management

  • Manage programs’ requirements supervising a direct team and in coordination with concerned departments including planning, execution, follow up, outreach and mobilization of stakeholders, budgeting, monitoring, and reporting.
  • Ensure the development of proper processes, support tools and coaching required to support the team in successfully leading on their tasks, supporting them in problem solving, proactivity, constructive feedback and learning when applicable.
  • Conduct weekly and monthly briefing, review, and support meetings with the program team.
  • Participate in the recruitment process of the Program team members
  • Make sure all program team members have clear job descriptions and their job performances are evaluated accordingly.
  • Identify learning and training opportunities for the program teams.
  • Explore potential partnerships with stakeholders relevant to the program in the region.

Partners and Stakeholders’ Management

  • Maintain and manage relationship with programs’ stakeholders including follow up with partners, beneficiaries and donors to understand project requirements, liaise for projects implementation and grow the scope of opportunities in the field.
  • Organize partners meetings and one on one meetings to support them in operations, strategic direction and management of their activities.
  • Assist the donor in any request and updates required or involvement in field visits or anything related.
  • Manage the community of beneficiaries and stakeholders to grow and sustain the community and ensure quality impact responding to their needs and building sustainable relationship with synergy to SHiFT’s programs and activities.
  • Attend regular meetings with donors, partners and teams.

Reporting

  • Produce reporting on the progress and status of projects ensuring that issues are escalated and managed as required.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
  • Prepare the projects’ reporting following the templates shared by the donors.
  • Develop steps and procedures in the planning and implementation of Education projects.

 

Qualifications and Experience

  • Education: A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Education, Business Administration, or relevant majors.
  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years of pertinent work experience in project management within the realm of education with at least 3 years of managerial experience.
  • Language: Fluent in Arabic and English, French is a plus.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal skills and cultural sensitivity.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with diverse groups of people.
  • Advanced critical thinking capabilities coupled with meticulous attention to detail for effective decision-making.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for clear and concise project communication and documentation.
  • Proficiency in using various communication tools and platforms
  • Knowledge of the community and cultural dynamics in the target area.
  • Organizational and program management skills.
  • Data collection and reporting skills.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.

Conditions

  • Full-Time working hours: 5 days per week, 8 hours per day, from 9:00 am till 5:00 pm.
  • Willingness to travel abroad for meetings and conferences (where applicable).
