The Computing Teacher will be responsible for delivering high-quality computer science education to students, fostering their understanding of technology, programming, and digital literacy. The ideal candidate will possess a strong knowledge of computing concepts and a passion for teaching and inspiring students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive computing curriculum that aligns with educational standards and promotes technological proficiency.
- Teach a range of computing subjects, including basic computing skills, computer science, programming, digital literacy, cybersecurity, and data management across various grade levels (e.g., elementary, middle, high school).
- Design and deliver engaging lesson plans, practical assignments, and assessments to enhance students’ understanding and skills in computing.
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and engagement in computing activities.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively and maintain a disciplined environment conducive to learning.
- Foster a passion for technology and computing through innovative teaching methods and real-world applications.
- Provide individualized support and guidance to students who need additional help or wish to advance their computing skills.
- Assess and evaluate students’ progress through regular tests, assignments, and projects.
- Provide constructive feedback to students and maintain accurate records of their performance.
- Stay current with advancements in computing technology and educational methodologies.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues regarding student progress, curriculum updates, and technology-related initiatives.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and other required documentation.
- Contribute to school-wide initiatives, attend faculty meetings, and participate in planning and development activities.
- Oversee the maintenance and functionality of computing equipment and software used in the classroom.
- Ensure that students use technology safely and responsibly, adhering to school policies and guidelines.

- Proven experience in teaching computing or a related subject at various educational levels.
- Strong organizational and classroom management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
