This position is contingent upon the successful acquisition of projects currently in the pipeline. We will be shortlisting and conducting interviews now, with recruitment proceeding once the project(s) are secured.
Key Responsibilities:
- Field Activity Implementation:
- Coordinate and execute field activities as outlined in the project work plan, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards.
- Engage with local communities and beneficiaries to facilitate project activities, including trainings, workshops, site visits, and surveys.
- Provide logistical support for field activities, including arranging transportation, venues, and materials.
- Monitoring and Data Collection:
- Conduct regular field visits to monitor project activities and assess progress against targets.
- Collect quantitative and qualitative data from field activities, including beneficiary feedback, attendance records, and survey responses.
- Ensure accurate and timely data entry and assist in maintaining comprehensive project databases.
- Stakeholder Coordination:
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with local stakeholders, including community leaders, local authorities, and partner organizations.
- Facilitate communication between the project team and local communities, ensuring that all parties are informed and engaged.
- Address any challenges or issues arising in the field in coordination with the Project Coordinator.
- Reporting and Documentation:
- Prepare regular field reports detailing activities conducted, challenges encountered, and recommendations for improvement.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date field records, including activity logs, beneficiary lists, and other relevant documentation.
- Contribute to the preparation of donor reports by providing field-level data and insights.
- Capacity Building and Support:
- Assist in organizing and facilitating training sessions and workshops for beneficiaries and local partners.
- Provide on-the-ground support and coaching to local stakeholders to enhance their capacity and engagement with project activities.
- Compliance and Quality Assurance:
- Ensure that all field activities are conducted in compliance with donor regulations and organizational policies.
- Monitor the quality of field activities, providing feedback to the Project Coordinator to ensure continuous improvement.
- Safety and Security:
- Adhere to BIAT’s safety and security protocols while conducting field activities.
- Report any safety or security concerns immediately to the Project Coordinator or relevant authority.
- Perform Other Duties as Assigned:
- Carry out any additional tasks required to support the effective implementation of field activities and overall project success.

• Experience: 1-2 years of experience in a field officer or similar role, preferably within an NGO or international development context.
• Skills:
o Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse community members.
o Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
o Proficiency in data collection tools and techniques.
o Ability to work independently and as part of a team in challenging field conditions.
o Basic knowledge of project management and community development principles.
o Fluency in English and Arabic, with knowledge of local languages being an asset.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience working with international donors (e.g., USAID, EU, UN, World Bank).
• Familiarity with monitoring and evaluation (M&E) tools and practices.
• Knowledge of local cultural contexts and community dynamics.
