Field Coordinator

The René Moawad Foundation (RMF) is seeking a “field coordinator” under the ongoing project entitled “Livelihood Support for Vulnerable Akkar Communities through Cash for Work”, funded by The Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and implemented by the René Moawad Foundation in partnership with the Deutsche Gesellschaft fur Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) and the Ministry of Social Affairs.

The project goal is to improve the resilience of the host community and the refugee community in rural Lebanon and their abilities to cope with the economic crisis. RMF, through this project, will ensure the active engagement of 900 vulnerable beneficiaries, in short-term cash for work opportunities tackling light rehabilitation, construction, within 6 villages in Akkar comprising Tikrit, Dawra, Rahbeh, Daher Leyssineh, Gebrayel and Beyt Mellat

Project Activity:

• Coordination with local actors to accommodate CFW activities.
• Establishment of working groups for the targeted villages
• Coordination with Working Groups on sites’ identification
• Identification and selection of cash for work sites.
• Implementation of physical onsite outreach.
• Implementation of CFW activities.

Position Summary

The field coordinator will be responsible of the day-to-day field activities that will be implemented in Akkar.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Facilitate and take part of the implementation of project activities in targeted villages.
• Summarize, evaluate, and update on a regular basis the activities following the established planning schedules.
• Coordinate and maintain regular contact with Municipalities and local stakeholders including (CSOs, farmers, Coop, community leaders, local government officials, and MSMEs…)
• Liaise with other organizations, if needed.
• Determine any changes to the plan and report to the Project Coordinator.
• Contribute to the monthly activities report.
• Assisting in collecting all needed data.
• Identify and report success stories.
• Prepare weekly reports.
• Ensure project documents are complete, and archived properly  
• Lead the execution of activities/ meetings/ outreach activity/ orientation sessions/ site visits etc. at targeted municipalities/communities
• Data entry of project information
• field supervision of ongoing activities (training, field visits, cash for work activity…)
• Lead meetings with the established working groups (where needed)
• Organize networking events
• Implement other tasks requested by the project coordinator

• Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and reporting skills
• Ability to write clear and concise reports.
• Excellent knowledge of English and Arabic; French is a plus
• Share key humanitarian values
• Possesses an analytical approach
• Possesses organizational skills/ Energetic and tenacious

Qualification

• holder of a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and infrastructure works, or any other relevant field with 4 years of relevant work experience
• Prior similar responsibilities with donor-funded projects.
• Holder of a driving license
• Be flexible with working hours’ schedule when needed. 
• Strong computer skills, specifically with Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint). 
• Must be self-motivated with a strong work ethic, and able to problem solve and engage others as needed.
• Familiarity with local NGOs programs.
• Strong presentation skills and ability to communicate to large audiences.
• Strong ability to communicate effectively in person, verbally and in writing.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines.
