Background of the project
IRC will implement community based psychological support, and Psychological First Aid (PSS) activities. Activities to be conducted include:
- Community based PSS,
- PFA,
- Risk mitigation and awareness sessions.
- Additional awareness sessions and community events as per beneficiary needs, and Parenting skills tips for caregiver.
Under the supervision of the Senior MEAL Officer, the consultant will ensure responsibility for the monitoring and reporting of the M&E tasks of the psychosocial intervention and - when delays occur flag concerns/challenges. In addition to documenting activities and or incidents that are beneficial for IRC to learn from.
Deliverables:- Actively attend a training session with the Senior MEAL Officer to better understand the context, the tools and trackers used for data collection.
- Actively be present in the schools.
- Ensure high quality data collection and that assessments are conducted in a manner that respects all respondents.
- Handle and fill questionnaires through digital device (tablet or Smart phone) if needed.
- Discuss with the Senior MEAL Officer challenges faced during data collection.
- Keep a record of the data completed on a tracker.
- Submit completed tasks on time and discuss with the Senior MEAL Officer highlights, notes, and cases on a daily basis.
- Ability to communicate effectively with the clients.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure.
- Ability to gather information in an objective, appropriate and sensitive way.
- Ability to act with appropriate respect to the beneficiaries’ cultures and traditions.
- Interpersonal and communication skills.
- Organization and time management skills.
- Basic understanding of technology such as tablets.
- Expertise to enter, transcribe, record, maintain data/information in written or electronic forms.
