MEL Consultant

The consultant will be upgrading JWF’s existing M&E manual, and develop the necessary tools to help JWF in proper data collection, and analysis process, and capturing the activity success and impact. The consultant will also later on train the team on the proper implementation of the manual processes and procedures.

Tasks and Deliverables

The tasks of the consultant will be:

• Upgrading JWF’s existing M&E manual
• Developing the necessary tools to help JWF in proper data collection and verification tools
• Analysis process
• Capturing the activity success and impact
• Conduct training for staff on MEAL framework and on the proper implementation of the manual processes and procedures

The consultant will be reporting directly to the director of the organisation.
TimeLine:

1. Assessment of the current activity including desk review, and operational, evaluation: 3 days
2. Development of the toolkit: 5 days
3. Two Training days for JWF Team: 1 day of training for the ambassadors and volunteers; and 1 day for JWF team members.
    
4. Skills and Experience Required

• Bachelor's degree required. Masters or equivalent in a field related to Humanitarian or International Development or relevant fields is preferred
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in monitoring and evaluations in the humanitarian or development sectors.
• Experience in designing and managing beneficiary monitoring and database systems.
• Knowledge of the major evaluation methodologies (e.g. qualitative, quantitative, mixed-method, and impact) and data collection and analysis methodologies.
• Experience in developing and refining data collection tools.
• Experience in managing and providing training to target beneficiaries.
• Commitment to gender equality, diversity, social justice, and inclusion
• Excellent knowledge using computer software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Project), project planning software, and database management;
• Being proficient in English, and Arabic in both written and oral skills
