We are actively seeking dedicated medical doctors with expertise in Emergency Room (ER) and Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Surgery settings committed to delivering high-quality medical care and improving patient health outcomes.
Main Purpose: To provide outpatient and inpatient medical care to patients/beneficiaries, adhering to updated medical knowledge, MSF protocols, values, and universal hygiene standards to enhance patient health conditions.
Accountabilities:
- Apply medical knowledge and skills to diagnose and prevent illnesses.
- Conduct patient consultations, providing rational prescription in line with protocols validated by MSF.
- Inform patients and their families about their conditions, providing clear explanations of treatment plans and ensuring understanding.
- Monitor the progress of hospitalized patients through daily visits, consultations, and examinations, determining discharge or transfer needs in collaboration with other medical staff.
- Ensure the rational use of medical supplies while complying to infection control measures and hygiene standards.
- Participate in collecting and analysing epidemiological data, ensuring validity, and reporting any issues regarding patient complications or medical errors.
- Train and support the medical and paramedical team to optimize the quality of care provided.
- Enforce adherence to universal precautions, reducing bio-hazard risks and enhancing infection control.
- Manage the medical team under your supervision according to MSF HR policies, including performance evaluations, shift organization, and participation in emergency calls.
- Perform activities specific to protocols in assigned department.
Education:
- MD diploma
- Specialty Diploma
- MoPH’s license to practice in Lebanon and MoPH’s specialist license.
- Certificate of registration at the Lebanese Order of Physicians (as a specialist)
- Desirable: CME credits from the LOP
Experience: Required minimum 2 years of experience in a hospital setting.
