HR Intern - Beirut Coordination

PRESENTATION OF THE ORGANIZATION

SOLIDARITES INTERNATIONAL (SI) is an international humanitarian NGO which, for more than 40 years, has been providing assistance to populations affected by armed conflicts and natural disasters by meeting their vital needs for food, water and shelter. Particularly involved in the fight against diseases linked to unsafe water, the first cause of death in the world, SI's interventions provide expertise in the field of access to drinking water, sanitation and hygiene promotion, but also in the essential area of food security and livelihoods. Present in around twenty countries, SI's teams - 2000 people in total made up of expatriates, national staff, permanent staff at headquarters, and a few volunteers - work with professionalism and commitment while respecting cultures.

Solidarités International (SI) is determined to prevent and fight all type of abuse – all act of exploitation, abuse and/or sexual harassment (SEAH) against members of beneficiary communities or collaborators, fraud, corruption, violation of persons and/or property, funding of activities harmful to human rights – that could be perpetrated in the frame of its interventions. DESCRIPTION OF THE POSITION

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an HR Intern. As an HR Intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various HR functions while supporting our HR team in day-to-day operations.

 

Responsibilities:

Assist with the recruitment and selection process by posting job advertisements, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and conducting reference checks.

Support the onboarding process for new employees, including preparing new hire paperwork, conducting orientation sessions, and ensuring a smooth transition into the organization.

Maintain and update employee records, including personal information, employment history, and training records, in compliance with data protection regulations.

Assist in organizing and coordinating employee engagement initiatives, such as team-building activities, recognition programs, and employee surveys.

Aid in the administration of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave management.

Provide assistance in HR administrative tasks, such as managing employee files, preparing reports, and handling HR-related inquiries.

Collaborate with the HR team to develop and update HR procedures, guidelines, and employee handbooks.

Support HR projects and initiatives, such as performance management, talent development, and diversity and inclusion programs.

Stay up-to-date with HR trends, best practices, and employment laws to ensure compliance and contribute to continuous improvement.

 

Requirements:

Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize assignments.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data management.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

Positive attitude, self-motivated, and eager to learn and contribute to a team.

 

PROFILE FORSAKEN

Studies: Candidates who are currently enrolled in an HR program, recent HR graduates, or individuals who have been out of the workforce for an extended period and are eager to gain experience and reintegrate into the job market are encouraged to apply.

Experience: No experience needed.

Language: Very good English is a must

IT: Good IT skills is a must

Qualifications: Ongoing undergraduate or graduate degree in HR, business, economy, law, psychology, or any related fields.
