Teacher/ Facilitator (YBLN / RS / CB-ECE - CB-ECE Assistant )

Main Duties and Responsibilities: 


Responsibility #1: Setting up a learning environment
● Plan and maintain a safe and clean learning environment in assuring the children’s healthy development and well-being;
● Plan and ensure materials and supplies are available prior to activities;
● Maintain a positive and calm attitude and show caring towards children in the classroom.


Responsibility #2: Facilitating the learning activities
● Present a weekly written work plan following the certified curriculum frame of the non- formal education program;

● Facilitate the learning sessions with appropriate differentiation to cater for different needs (BLN/CB-ECE/ABLN);
● Deliver the PSS and life skills sessions embedded in the delivered curriculum.


Responsibility #3: Follow-up on the ongoing activities
● Implement the pre and post assessment and report back on outcomes. As well as conduct the ongoing formative assessment to determine the children’s strengthening and areas in which each child may need help;
● Take daily attendance of children and share it with the center manager;
● Maintain a confidential classroom folder for every child which contains the worksheets done inside the classroom.

The Teacher/Facilitator in a non-formal education setting may support in additional tasks and carry other responsibilities which are not mentioned above, depending on the needs of the Makani project.

Qualifications, Skills and Requirements
● Educational background from a university of technical school (LT) in majors relevant to the subjects they are teaching or kindergarten (with exceptional approvals for experienced teachers from the Ministry of Education and Higher Education);
● Demonstrates familiarity with child development specificities, needs and different material that fulfill these needs;
● Establish and maintain effective, working relationships with children, parents, staff, and education specialist;
● Should be physically and intellectually qualified to follow up on children’s affairs;
● Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing;
● Fluent in spoken and written Arabic, knowledge of English would be an asset.
