Communications Coordinator

The Communications Coordinator is responsible for the online and offline community of Embrace and that includes and is not restricted to social media platforms, events, photoshoots, website, communication material production, campaigns implementation, and reports. The Communications Coordinator works in close coordination with the Managing Director, Creative, and other Embrace departments.

 

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Managing and initiating the monthly calendar content & posting, in coordination with the Communications Team.
  • Implementing campaigns and publishing content in coordination with the department strategy and plans. 
  • Managing and updating the website including review of content, timely updates of material, and technical tracking with website partners.
  • Suggesting captions and engaging with the community’s comments and messages in a timely manner across all social media platforms.
  • Monitoring and adapting FAQs & corresponding “message replies bank” with the Line Manager when applicable.
  • Retrieving and archiving data across all social media platforms, press coverages, campaigns, online/offline collaborations, and images of events.
  • Redirecting all interview requests and features to the team by email and keep track & record for archiving and social media sharing.
  • Monitoring, collecting data & insights and report on community engagement and coordinating with communications manager on the quarterly report using the respective template.
  • Liaising with external partners and departments to stay updated on new activities and programs that could be beneficial for our content.
  • Developing & compiling material for newsletters and annual report.
  • Proposing, managing, and monitoring online promotional plans.
  • Staying up to date with digital technology and social media trends and suggesting new platforms for community expansion.
  • Supporting in creating video and/or picture content for donors and/or collaborations. 

 

QUALIFICATONS

1.  Critical Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or any relevant specialism including Social Sciences.
  • Minimum of three years’ experience in communications or a relevant field.
  • Fluency in English and Arabic. French is a plus.
  • Demonstrates proficient knowledge in Social Medica Platforms and new trends.
