Finance officer

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Under the overall supervision of the PPM Representative and in close collaboration with Arci Solidarity Cultures (ARCS) & Un Ponte Per (UPP), the finance officer will be responsible on the following tasks:

  • Matching the financial documents with the project implementation activities.
  • Documenting the financial disbursements, financial transactions and preparing financial reports in compliance with the project signed contract.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and budgets.
  • Carrying out all financial transactions and accounting procedures including payment and receipt vouchers.
  • Following up on bank transactions.
  • Monitoring and following up the financial progress of the project in relation to the budget and real expenditures.

 

Essential requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related to administration, finance, accounting or other relevant fields.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience working with NGOs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills              
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to coordinate.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently, meet deadlines and maintain flexibility and professional approach.
  • Excellent oral and written communication in Arabic and English
  • Knowledge of computer programs, including Microsoft Word, and Excel.
