Community Care worker

Major Responsibilities:

  • Being part to CP Team and responsible of delivery and facilitate the CP Activities at center level.
  • Facilitation in mapping community needs (Situation Assessment)/regular mapping of existing needs and services/ facilitation of sessions in the community.
  • Outreach - building rapport through supportive and trusting relationships with children, families, and leaders within the local community through Qudwa initiatives
  • Conduct household visits when it needed to follow up with the caregivers.
  • Monitoring of local protection risks and ensuring referral of most vulnerable children facing protection concerns within the community to more specialized Child Protection services
  • Accompanying children and families to services when needed
  • Support to caregivers and members of the extended network around positive parenting practices
  • Act as a focal point within a community as a place for children and parents to safely report cases of abuse, a place to seek help, a group to provide response and rehabilitation support, and a place to identify needs.
  • Participate in delivering of the CBPSS and positives parenting sessions.
  • Report any incidence on child protection, child safeguarding, and PSEA (Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse).
  • Participate in all capacity-building opportunities

Requirements & Skills:

  • University students / fresh graduates, and 1 to 2 years’ experience in a relevant field
  • Communication skills: should be able to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, clearly articulate information, be a good listener, and be able to establish positive relationships and build trust with people at all levels.
  • Planning skills: should be able to develop and respect work plans, work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
  • Social consciousness: should be socially aware of the socio-economic situation of the area and how it can affect children’s enrolment in and attendance of education.
  • Knowledge of contextual diversity of various areas of Akkar, Lebanon.
