Accounting Assistant

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Financial Record Keeping:
    • Assist in maintaining accurate financial records, including general ledgers, accounts payable and receivable, and bank reconciliations.
    • Ensure all financial transactions are documented properly and in a timely manner.
  2. Data Entry and cashier Processing:
    • Enter financial data into accounting software and spreadsheets, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
    • Process invoices, receipts, and payments, ensuring compliance with organization procedures.
    • Process cashier transactions: Accurately process customer transactions, including cash, and or credit card payments, ensuring correct amounts are charged, and that all transactions are properly recorded in the system.
  3. Financial Reporting:
    • Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
    • Support the preparation of balance sheets, income statements, and other key financial statements.
  4. Reconciliation:
    • Reconcile accounts and ensure the accuracy of financial records.
    • Assist with internal audits by providing necessary documentation and reports.

Qualifications:

  • A degree or diploma in Accounting or Finance
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
  • Proficiency in accounting software.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Office tools.
  • Fluency in English

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to handle sensitive financial information with discretion.

  • Successful completion of financial reconciliations and audits.
  • Efficiency in processing financial transactions and supporting the team.
