Purpose:
The purpose of this job is to plan, design, and implement engineering projects within the scope of the ICRC’s WatHab program and objectives in detention, in the BEY delegation.
S/he is responsible for small and non-complex projects, ensuring their successful delivery within the constraints of scope, quality, time, and budget. With some guidance, s/he carries out needs assessments and surveys, prepares project designs, implements, and commissions projects. Manages relationships with the various stakeholders involved. Manages project resources and ensures project reporting.
Accountabilities & Functional responsibilities:
- Contributes to the study of the project brief or "vision" document and understands the needs and challenges. Assists programs managers in identifying and analyzing needs through assessments and survey.
- Contributes to the identification and collaboration with all stakeholders who may have an influence on the success of the projects.
- Contributes to the collect of all the information and data necessary to prepare the projects. Prepares feasibility studies/project proposals, and technical designs (specifications, drawings, BoQs, etc).
- Contributes to the submission of project documents to the program manager for review.
- Actively contributes to the launch of procurement and works contracts in accordance with delegation's rules and ensure follow up.
- Organizes and supervises the proper implementation of the works and activities related to the projects.
- On a systematic and regular manner, anticipates, identifies, and escalates problems that may affect all or part of the project, and proposes/implements corrective actions.
- Ensures the commissioning and handover of infrastructure and equipment to the relevant parties and necessary communication and training to the "client" for the proper use of the facilities, equipment, and services.
- Ensures proper and timely reporting using the appropriate tools (PAM, etc).
Certifications / Education required:
- Master’s degree in Engineering.
- Knowledge in Facility Management and in Operation and Maintenance.
- Certificates in LEED, Climate Change, Renewable Energy is an asset.
Professional Experience required:
- 3 - 5 years of experience in Mechanical, Electrical or environmental engineering.

What we offer:
- Salary Package: USD 2’037 – 2’926 USD/Month (As per ICRC salary scale, salary setting processes will determine fair setting in coherence with the qualifications of the applicant and the requirements of the job).
- 13th Month of salary paid in December, pro rata basis in accordance with the period worked.
- Annual Leave: 20 calendar working days of paid leave per year, pro rata basis in accordance with the period worked.
- Health Insurance: 90% of premium fees under class B, coverage include: Doctor visits, Medicines, Therapy services, etc.)
- International Retirement Saving Plan (IRSP): a contribution valued at 11.5% of your monthly salary, these savings are paid by the end of service as a lump sum.
- Other benefits subject to internal rules and regulations: High Cost of Living Allowance (HCLA), Schooling allowance, eyeglasses, designated personal training budget for learning opportunities.

- Working Schedule: Monday to Friday, from 8am to 5pm.
- Type of contract: fixed term until December 31, 2025 (Renewable based on performance and need for position).
