Main Tasks
General:
• Implement financial policies to guarantee operational efficiency;
•Ensure financial records are kept up-to-date with the latest transactions and changes;
• Perform periodic financial analysis to detect and resolve problems;
Budget Preparation & Amendments:
•Prepare the Project Budget based on MS Project format and the format approved by the donor. If needed, organize meetings with the Project Development and M&E Manager;
•Submit the Projects budget and the approved Concept note to the Finance Manager for review and approval;
•Amend the Project Budget and the Centers Budget and send it to the Finance Manager for review and approval;
•Update the yearly budget to reflect all the changes, and maintain all the budgets versions;
•Prepare the yearly budget for the Organization broken down by months based on the received Administrative Expenses data and the projects budget approved by the donors and send the budget to the Finance Manager;
Audit:
•Contribute to financial audits;
•Prepare audit report;
•Submit the audit report along with the supporting documents;
• Prepare the project status report using requested formats by the donor. The requested format shall be provided by the donor separately or attached to the contract signed;
Budget Monitoring:
•Compile expenses data received from the Head of Centers to create the overall Budget vs Actual document and forwards it to the Finance Manager;
Education
•Bachelor degree in Accounting & Finance OR Business Administration
Experience
• Experience in Budget preparation
• Experience in Budget amendments
• Experience in accounting (entries, reporting…)
Required Language
- Fluent in Arabic (Speaking, Reading and Writing)
- Fluent in English (Speaking, Reading and Writing)
- French is a plus
