Field Officer - Tripoli

Job Purpose : 

The Livelihood Project officer will collaboratively work with the project manager and key functions including Grants Management, Municipalities, and relevant members of the community.

General Responsibilities :

• Identify target MSMEs based on selection criteria through clear assessments on the field.
• Support in conducting Business assessment surveys to identify needs and requirements for target MSMEs on the following levels:
• Rehabilitation
• Equipment
• Working capital / raw materials/wages
• Individual support – business management (needed technical support).
• Follow up on the progress of work in selected MSMEs
• Stay always available on project sites to monitor the implementation of activities, gather feedback from beneficiaries, and submit a weekly detailed report about the activities and findings to the project manager.
• Field visits to 30 MSMEs to monitor the progress of work following the work plan provided by the project manager

Reporting and representation:

The livelihood field officer will be in charge of reporting the activities every week on the different coordination tools developed by B&Z to the project manager.

Skills & Competencies:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, economics or project management, or any related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in development projects with a humanitarian background
• At least 2 years of experience working with communities on small business grants, vocational skills, cash-based programming, and community-based credit schemes 
• Experience in emergency humanitarian contexts and complex and volatile contexts (preferable);
• Experience in budget management
• Strong critical analysis and problem-solving skills;
• Fluency in English and Arabic – both written and verbal.
• Strong interpersonal & communication skills and the ability to work in a team
• Good organizational and time management skills
• Computer proficiency in word processing, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel.
