Sport Field Officer – Tripoli

The Sports for Peace project, implemented by Al Midan NGO in partnership with forumZFD, aims to foster social cohesion and conflict transformation through structured sports activities. The project engages children and youth in Sports for Development and Peace (SDP) sessions in schools, clubs, and private sports fields.

The Sport Field Officer (Tripoli) will be responsible for ensuring the smooth implementation of Sports for Peace sessions in Tripoli ( Mankoubin)

Key duties include:

Field Coordination & Monitoring:

• Conduct field visits to all sessions across schools, clubs, and private sports fields.
• Ensure quality implementation of training sessions.
• Act as a liaison between schools, clubs, and project management.
• Monitor attendance and participation levels.
• Sessions may take place on weekdays and weekends, requiring time flexibility.
• Participate in weekly online preparatory sessions for Sports for Peace, which may be scheduled in the evenings as necessary.

Data Entry & Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E):

• Collect and report on training session data, attendance, and activity outcomes.
• Support in monitoring and evaluation processes, ensuring accurate data entry.
• Provide feedback and insights for program improvements.

Logistics & Support:

• Assist Al Midan NGO with logistical tasks related to field activities.
• Support in organizing events, workshops, and community engagement activities.
• Ensure availability of sports materials and training kits for sessions.

Additional duties and responsibilities 

• Actively participate in workshops focused on Peace Education and the implementation of sports sessions.
• Foster strong relationships with school directors, teachers, coaches, and other staff members.
• Maintain respectful communication with all stakeholders and staff.
• Adhere to the code of conduct and Child Protection Policy.
• Collaborate with other project staff.
• Perform additional tasks as directed by project management.

Position Details & Work Hours

• Part-time position based on number of hours worked.
• Approx. 15 hours per week.
• Sessions may take place on weekdays and weekends—time flexibility is crucial.
• Field visits will be planned based on session schedules.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Sports Science, Physical Education, Social Work, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in community-based sports programs, education, or youth engagement.
• Experience in monitoring and evaluation is a plus.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, depending on session schedules.
• Must be based in Tripoli ( preferred in Mankoubin ) or willing to travel regularly within the area.
