Remedial Teacher - Mathematics (english)

Responsibilities:


· Attend and participate in weekly reporting and planning meetings to ensure adherence to standards of care, quality education, referrals, and reporting requirements, are followed.

· Track attendance and follow up closely with center coordinators on children who dropped out or are at the risk of dropping out and keep a record of the follow-up actions taken

· Identify and refer child protection and child safeguarding cases and threats 

· Collect data on required assessments

· Ensure all project data records including registration sheets, attendance sheets, evaluation documents etc. are submitted to center coordinator on time

· Develop formative and summative assessment tools in close coordination with education technical officer

· Design lesson plans for retention sessions

· Conduct and document diagnostic and summative assessments for children registered in retention programs (pre/post test)

· Facilitate the retention support sessions and provide children/youth with individualized homework support/remedial in all the assigned core subject

· Conduct formative assessments for children during implementation period to track improvement and adjust the support in a timely and individualized manner

· Ensure safe, secure, simulative and inclusive classes to meet the abilities and the needs of the children (including children with disabilities)

 

Minimum requirement:


· Bachelor degree in assigned subject (Mathematics, )
· Previous experience with grades 8 to 12
· Capable of dealing with children with poor academic performance
· Ability to work under pressure
