Occupational Therapist

* Conducts assessment of persons with disabilities for OT and to meet their specific needs.

* Provides persons with disabilities with direct therapy to develop their daily living skills.

* Carries out assessments of needs for home modifications for persons with disabilities and sets individual specifications.

* Coordinates with other local rehabilitation NGOs to establish referral system.

* Helps persons with disabilities to take part in social activities.

* Assesses the requirements for prosthetic devices for persons with disabilities.

* Assists in training community workers and mothers in an effort to help them accomplish day-to-day tasks.

* Diagnoses the abilities and capabilities of persons with disabilities for vocational training and follows up the process through up to end of training.

* Monitors the implementation of OT plan in the project.

* Supervises, trains and monitors OT Assistant/s performing pre-scheduled activities and other planned tasks.

* Keeps proper documentation that is professional, efficient and accountable, and

* Provides daily, weekly, monthly and other periodic or ad hoc reports and statistics.
