Job Overview:

CodeBrave is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to oversee and manage the financial planning, budgeting, compliance, and reporting functions for our organization. The Finance Manager will ensure the financial health of CodeBrave through sound financial practices, ensuring compliance with donor requirements, Lebanese regulations, and organizational policies. This role requires excellent analytical, organizational, and leadership skills.

Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (Master’s degree or professional certifications like CPA, CMA, or CFA preferred).

Minimum 5 years of experience in financial management, including within the NGO sector.

Proven experience in budgeting, financial reporting, and donor compliance.

Familiarity with Lebanese tax laws, NSSF, and financial regulations.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, financial modeling) and accounting software.

Fluency in English and Arabic (written and spoken).

Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.

Areas of Responsibility:

Financial Planning and Budgeting:

Develop and manage annual budgets in collaboration with program teams.

Prepare detailed financial projections, forecasts, and budget analyses.

Monitor budget performance and recommend adjustments as needed.

Support project managers in developing donor-specific budgets and budget narratives.

Financial Management and Reporting:

Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and cash flow management.

Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for internal use and donors.

Maintain compliance with donor financial guidelines and ensure timely submission of financial reports.

Provide financial insights to leadership for informed decision-making.

Compliance and Risk Management:

Ensure compliance with Lebanese financial regulations, donor requirements, and organizational policies.

Oversee audits (internal and external) and ensure accurate audit preparedness.

Monitor financial risks and develop mitigation strategies.

Maintain up-to-date records of all financial transactions and documentation.

Payroll and Taxation:

Oversee payroll processing, ensuring compliance with NSSF and tax regulations, in collaboration with the Accounting Officer.

Ensure accurate calculation and timely payment of taxes, social security, and other mandatory contributions, in collaboration with the Accounting Officer.

Procurement and Financial Oversight:

Collaborate with the procurement team to ensure financial compliance in purchasing processes.

Monitor expenditures to ensure alignment with budget allocations.

Team Leadership and Capacity Building:

Supervise and mentor the Accounting Officer to ensure effective financial operations.

Salary:

$1,800-$2,000 (post-tax) per month for a full-time contract. Rate will depend on experience.
