Sports Events Management Consultant WEAM Program

As part of WEAM, community women and youth groups with the support of influencers in the sports and music industries, will lead on 6 social cohesion community events. The 6 events will take place in the following districts:
- South, mainly Saida
- Mount Lebanon mainly Barja and neighboring areas
- Beirut
- North Tripoli
- North Akkar
- Baalbek/Hermel
Right To Play is seeking a sports management consultant to plan and implement 3 sports community events in 3 of the above areas (to be decided later)-1 event per area. The sports events promoting social cohesion will focus on using football, basketball, or other sports identified by the community youth and women groups with the support of the consultant and Right To Play. The events should include relevant activities to people with disabilities in sports and a focus on girl participation.
In addition, the consultant will support Right To Play’s Sports National Campaign. The campaign focuses on media and visibility materials such as billboards and videos promoting social cohesion. The consultant is requested to support in the Public Relations services and provision of a list of suppliers related to the mentioned developed materials.

It is important to note that some budget lines for the deliverables requested from the consultant will be financially managed by Right To Play (elaborated in section 4 below).
Also, all work directly related to the community youth and women groups will be managed by Right To Play. Right To Play will handle the relationship between the community groups and the consultant.
Outcome 1: Implement 2 planning meetings for 240 community youth and women members
As mentioned, Right To Play will directly liaise with the community groups and lead on coordination and communication.
Consultant to cover transportation (10$/day/ per individual) and food and refreshments costs for 240 community groups over 2 planning meetings. Consultants allocate 4800$ to cover transportation costs (as mentioned for 2 meetings each) and around 3000$ to food and refreshments for the planning meetings. (consultant to send invoices and receipts of these transactions and proof of payments)
Outcome 2: Plan and execute 3 community social cohesion sports events (1 day each)
Consultant to lead on planning and execution of community events in the different areas, including all operational and logistics aspects required.
Consultant to cover all procurement costs from venue, refreshments and food, equipment…
Outcome 3: Provide a PR services for Sports National Campaign
Consultant to support Right To Play in the kick off phase of the sports national campaign through provision of public relations services. This includes but not restricted to provision of media contacts, relevant stakeholders such as athletes and federations, and suppliers for promotion materials such as billboards and videos.

5. QUALIFICATIONS OF THE CONSULTANT AND SELECTION CRITERIA
A consultant is needed with the following competencies and experience:
• Evidence of experience in sports management.
• Evidence of experience in planning and implementing community sports events on a national level.
• Proven knowledge and experience in working with marginalized communities (women, youth, people with disabilities.)
• Proven positive experience and relationship with sports stakeholders (athletes, federations.)
• Proven experience in sports campaigning.
