School Psychologist

The School Psychologist role is to promote the mental health and academic success of students by providing psychological assessments, counseling services, and interventions. Working collaboratively with educators, parents, and school staff, the School Psychologist helps create a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment. This position involves addressing students' emotional, behavioral, and academic challenges to help them succeed in school and beyond.

Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to evaluate students' cognitive, emotional, social, and behavioral needs.

Main Tasks:

  • Use a variety of standardized tests, observational methods, and interviews to assess student functioning.
  • Analyze data to diagnose learning disabilities, mental health issues, developmental delays, and other psychological conditions.
  • Provide recommendations for academic accommodations and behavioral interventions based on assessment results.
  • Offer crisis intervention for students experiencing trauma, anxiety, bullying, grief, or other personal issues.
  • Implement strategies to promote resilience, emotional regulation, and positive coping mechanisms.
  • Help students develop self-awareness, problem-solving skills, and improve interpersonal relationships.
  • Work closely with teachers, school administrators, and parents to develop strategies for supporting students’ mental health and academic performance.

  • Design and implement school-wide programs focused on promoting social-emotional learning, bullying prevention, mental health awareness, and conflict resolution.
  • Educate students and staff on coping strategies, resilience, and mental health issues.
  • Organize workshops or seminars for parents on child development, mental health, and academic success.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret data related to student behavior, academic performance, and psychological well-being.
  • Prepare reports and maintain accurate documentation of assessments, interventions, and progress.
