Distribution Officer

Background:   

MOSAIC is a holistic and interdisciplinary program committed to improving the health and wellbeing of disempowered communities in Lebanon and the MENA/SWANA region overall. Through its national presence and its regional and international networks, MOSAIC's strategic goal is to achieve the coexistence of people in friendly communities and national systems. Founded by activists and legal and health experts, MOSAIC provides specialized and sensitive mental health services (drama and art therapy included), psychosocial support, capacity development and awareness sessions for LGBTIQ+ individuals in addition to protection services including case management and legal services ranging from consultations to representation if necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

Distribution Planning & Coordination

• Organize and oversee the distribution of food parcels, hygiene kits, and emergency relief items.
• Outreach and coordination with vulnerable communitites. 
• Maintain detailed records of distributed items, beneficiary lists, and inventory.

Community Engagement & Outreach

• Identify and assess the needs of LGBTIQ individuals and other vulnerable groups requiring assistance.
• Conduct outreach to ensure equitable access to distribution programs.
• Ensure all distributions are conducted in a safe, non-discriminatory, and inclusive manner.

Monitoring & Reporting

• Track distribution activities and prepare reports on beneficiaries. 
• Provide feedback and recommendations to MEAL officer to improve distribution processes and outreach efforts.
• Ensure proper documentation and compliance with MOSAIC’s humanitarian standards.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Experience: Field experience with target communities. 
• Knowledge: Understanding of humanitarian principles, distribution procedures, and community needs.
• Skills: Strong organizational and communication skills; ability to work under pressure and in diverse environments.
• Languages: Fluency in Arabic
