Responsibilities

  • Verify the planned distribution of emergency food assistance, ensuring it aligns with donor (WFP) standards and report any issues or discrepancies to the WFP Field Office (FO) focal point for timely resolution.
  • Monitor the quantity and quality of distributed date bars, ensuring they meet the required standards.
  • Record and maintain information and monitoring plan documentation, assist in compiling, consolidating, and cleaning data for reporting to the WFP FO focal person.
  • Coordinate with the school/shelter focal point to confirm the daily order with the exact number of meals needed for distribution, and report issues or discrepancies to the WFP FO focal point to manage leftovers effectively.
  • Conduct regular field visits to Makani centers according to a pre-set monitoring plan shared by WFP, completing WFP monitoring forms.
  • Collect and relay feedback from emergency implementing partners, internally displaced people (IDPs), and shelter focal points/committees to support program improvements.
  • Report M&E activities on a regular basis as per the Field Office’s requirements.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in field monitoring, data collection, or humanitarian assistance preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
  • Ability to travel within the Nabatieh area as per the assigned schedule.
  • Basic proficiency in reporting and documentation.
