Under the overall supervision of the PPM Representative and in close collaboration with Kofi Anan Foundation and Fight for Humanity, the MEAL officer will be responsible on the following tasks:
Monitoring & Evaluation of Projects
- Support the development of M&E plans, indicator matrices, and clear data collection plan in discussion with the technical team and lead on all field data collection exercises
- Work with project teams to develop an M&E Plan that outlines the different steps that are required, setting out who will deliver what and by when.
- Planning and implementation of baseline surveys, monitoring and evaluation exercises and impact assessments when needed; (formulate assessments and M&E tools; Organizing and conducting baseline and producing analytical qualitative and quantitative reports)
- Support data analysis with the project team and share them in the required format.
- Support systems to manage information generated by MEAL activities, such as complaints databases
- Explore and implement M&E tool rationalization through continuous review and consultation with field staff
- Accountability
- Assist the project team in strengthening the accountability mechanisms at project level
- Develop tools and databases to collect, track, and follow up on beneficiary feedback regarding a project
- Set up simple systems to manage information generated by MEAL activities, such as complaints databases.
Review, Reflection and Learning
- Assist the project team and partners in documenting lessons learnt and reports
- Conduct reviews, learning events at project locations
- Regularly encourage Project leads to produce and report on best practices and lessons learnt
- Delivering any other responsibility assigned by the Manager.
- Ensure proper performance, learning and development and retention of the MEAL activities
- Additional communications and information management duties as required / other tasks as assigned by the manager
Essential requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related to administration, law or other relevant fields.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience working with NGOs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to coordinate.
- Excellent oral and written communication in Arabic and English
- Knowledge of computer programs, including Microsoft Word, and Excel.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently, meet deadlines and maintain flexibility and professional approach.
