Job Overview:The Daily Monitor is responsible for overseeing the distribution of Fortified Date Bars to children in non-formal education centers and institutions in North Lebanon and Akkar. This includes ensuring compliance with WFP and DCL guidelines, conducting field visits, reporting on the distribution process, and collaborating with local center staff. The Monitor will report directly to the Project Coordinator, ensuring that the program runs efficiently and that distribution meets the required quality and timing standard
Key Responsibilities:
- Visit upon request and monitor the assigned centers in the respective geographical area to ensure compliance with the DCL and WFP protocols and procedures. This includes checking quantity, quality, and distribution modality.
- Ensure that the WFP School Feeding Programme under the supervision of DCL operates in full compliance with the established program guidelines, standards, and quality requirements.
- Conducting real-time monitoring of the distribution process to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
- Collect and maintain accurate data related to the students’ participation, inventory, and any issues, irregularities, challenges, or improvements encountered in the assigned schools (either during the visits or, in general, during the overall collaboration). This data will be used for reporting and program improvement.
- Prepare detailed reports on school visits, distributions, and any issues faced during the implementation of the program. Share these reports with the Area Coordinator and other relevant stakeholders. Some of the reports may be conducted using data collection tools.
- Maintain effective communication with focal points, teachers, and other project stakeholders to address concerns, provide guidance, and ensure the smooth operation of the program.
- Identify and address any challenges or issues that may arise in the course of the program, and work collaboratively with the Area Coordinator to find solutions.
- Coordinating with relevant stakeholders to maintain smooth operations, such as center focal points to facilitate orders, ensuring they are placed in a timely manner, and in the right amounts.
- Attending training sessions conducted in coordination with WFP on sensitization sessions.
- Monitoring and reporting on the sensitization sessions conducted in the schools.
- Providing feedback on the effectiveness and impact of sensitization sessions to improve implementation.
- Ensuring that school staff and students understand the objectives and benefits of the FDB activity.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; a Bachelor’s degree in a related field is a plus.
- Previous experience in project monitoring, school programs, or related roles.
- Ability to travel to non-formal education centers in North Lebanon and Akkar.
- Knowledge of humanitarian principles and NGO operations is an advantage.
- MS Office proficiency (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
- Fluency in both English and Arabic is mandatory.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle.
