Communications - Casual Worker

To serve as a catalyst, partnership broker, and builder of the capacity of local partners, facilitating the community-led initiatives to improve and sustain the well-being of children and their families.

The casual worker will be responsible for collecting and documenting multimedia content across different areas in Tripoli from our partner, as per project requirements. The key responsibilities include:

Content Collection:

  • Capture photos that align with the project’s communication needs.
  • Conduct and record voice interviews and video interviews with selected individuals.
  • Gather and organise relevant documents that contribute to storytelling and project visibility.

Documentation & Sharing:

  • Coordinate with the field team and partners to ensure proper planning and smooth execution of content collection activities.
  • Ensure all collected content is well-documented, properly labelled, and meets quality standards.
  • Share the gathered content on time through designated channels.
  • Translate the content from Arabic to English on timely manner

Coordination & Communication:

  • Maintain direct coordination with the communications focal point to ensure content aligns with project objectives.
  • Follow guidance on storytelling angles, branding, and ethical considerations when collecting content.
  • Provide updates on progress, challenges, and any additional content needs.

The casual worker must be proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work independently while ensuring all content meets ethical and safeguarding standards.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Strong written and spoken English and Arabic skills, with the ability to write, edit, and publish articles.
  • Proficient in photography and videography, with a solid understanding of composition and framing.
  • Knowledge in video editing, with experience in Adobe Premiere Pro, CapCut, or similar software.
  • Knowledge of graphic design, with proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Canva, or similar tools.
  • Experience in creating communications content in an NGO, development, or humanitarian context.
  • High computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and web-based platforms.
  • Cross-cultural sensitivity, with an understanding of social and political dynamics in Lebanon.
  • Self-motivated and adaptable, able to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong coordination skills.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-changing environment, demonstrating flexibility and problem-solving skills
