Project Manager

The project T.A.R.A.B.U.T is funded by the European Commission as part of its support program “Support to initiatives to engage communities in culture, social cohesion and democratic participation”. This two year project will start on April 2025, implemented by Safadi Foundation in partnership with AIDA, its name means “Together Advancing Resilience And Building Unity in Tripoli”. 

Its Specific Objective is “Social cohesion is enhanced in the Tripoli area” and it will aim to achieve the 3 following Outcomes:

  1. Local stakeholders from different profiles and roles are mobilized for their city 
  2. Identified stakeholders gain knowledge and tools to become contributing actors to social cohesion in Tripoli 
  3. Local actors are equipped with resources to undertake actions promoting social cohesion 

Position Summary 

The project Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of the project operations, including the management of action plans, risk management plans, procurement and communication plans. S/He is accountable for the timely reporting project progress from a programmatic and financial perspective and manages the performance of the project team 

Key Responsabilities and Duties 

Project Planning and Execution

  • Develop, implement, and monitor project actions plans, ensuring alignment with the project goals.
  • Oversee the execution of project tasks, ensuring timely and quality delivery of objectives.
  • Identify and manage risks, proposing mitigation strategies to ensure project success.

Team Management and Supervision

  • Supervise project team members, providing guidance and support to achieve project goals.
  • Assign tasks and monitor team performance to maintain efficiency and productivity.
  • Foster a collaborative and motivated work environment.

Reporting and Documentation

  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting of the project progress both programmatically and financially.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation, including project plans, reports, and risks assessments.
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide updates to stakeholders.

Budget And Procurement Management

  • Monitor project expenditures, ensuring alignment with approved budgets.
  • Oversee procurement process in line with organizational policies and donor requirements
  • Ensure proper allocation and utilization of project resources.

Stakeholders Coordination and Communication

  • Develop and execute communication plans to engage stakeholders effectively.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external project stakeholders.
  • Facilitate regular meetings, presentations, and discussions to ensure transparency and collaboration.

Compliance and Quality Assurance

  • Ensure all project activities comply with organizational policies, donor regulations, and legal requirements.
  • Implement quality control measures to maintain high standards in project deliverables.
  • Conduct periodic evaluations and propose improvements for project efficiency.
