Volunteer – Complementary Activities (10)

Role Overview:
The volunteers will support the implementation of complementary activities in multisectoral centers, ensuring a safe and engaging environment for children and youth. They will facilitate structured and recreational activities that complement ongoing educational and psychosocial programs.


Key Responsibilities:
 Organize and facilitate complementary activities such as arts, sports, life skills, and cultural sessions for children and youth.
 Support educators and facilitators in engaging participants through interactive and inclusive learning methods.
 Assist in planning and preparing materials for activities, ensuring they align with program objectives.
 Promote child participation and create a safe, supportive space for personal expression and skill development.
 Monitor and document attendance, engagement levels, and overall progress of participants.
 Collaborate with other staff members to identify and address specific needs of children and youth.
 Ensure all activities adhere to child protection and safeguarding policies.
 Provide feedback and reports on the effectiveness of activities and suggest improvements.


Requirements, Qualifications and Skills:
 Background in education, social work, psychology, or a related field (students or recent graduates encouraged to apply).

 Experience in facilitating recreational or educational activities for children and youth is an advantage.
 Strong communication and teamwork skills.
 Ability to create a safe and inclusive environment for diverse participants.
 Commitment to child protection and safeguarding principles.
 Flexibility and adaptability to work in a dynamic environment.


Preferred Skills:
 Creative and interactive facilitation skills.
 Basic knowledge of psychosocial support approaches.
 Ability to work with children from different backgrounds, including vulnerable communities.
 Willingness to learn and take initiative in activity planning and execution.
