Physical education teacher

General Goal: The physical education teacher is responsible for teaching physical education and sport activities to children enrolled in Education activities:

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver engaging physical education lessons that focus on various sports, exercises, fitness routines, and teamwork activities.
• Motivate students to participate in physical activities that improve strength, coordination, endurance, and overall health.
• Assess and track students’ physical development, skill improvement, and overall participation in activities.
• Make sure that students are using equipment properly and safely, and enforce rules to prevent injuries.
• Promote positive behavior, cooperation, and respect among students while participating in group activities or team sports.
• Educate students on the importance of maintaining a balanced diet, exercising regularly, and practicing good hygiene.
• Share students' progress with parents and collaborate with other school staff to support students' well-being.
• Ensure that all students, regardless of skill level, are encouraged to participate and feel valued during PE lessons.

Qualifications, Skills, and Personal Attributes

• Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in sports coaching or physical education, preferably with children in vulnerable settings.
• Knowledge of child development and inclusive sports methodologies. 
• Strong leadership, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Proficiency in Arabic; knowledge of English and/or French is an asset.
• Commitment to child protection and safeguarding policies.
