Computer Teacher

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver one computer session per week for each of the four classes (40 sessions per class throughout the academic year).

Design lessons that introduce and develop basic computer skills, including typing, internet use, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and safe browsing.

Adapt teaching strategies to students’ learning levels and needs, ensuring active participation and inclusion.

Collaborate with the educational team to align sessions with overall project goals and academic needs.

Maintain a positive and respectful classroom environment, following the project’s safeguarding and safety protocols.

Track attendance and participation, and provide simple progress notes when needed.

Ensure proper use and basic care of available computer equipment.

Participate in periodic team meetings and trainings organized by the association.

Qualifications:

Degree in Computer Science, Education, or a related field (or equivalent relevant experience).

Previous teaching experience, preferably with children or youth.

Strong knowledge of basic computer skills and common software applications.

Ability to communicate clearly and adapt to different learning styles.

Commitment to child protection, inclusivity, and safe learning environments.

Familiarity with working in non-formal education settings is a plus.

Residency in or near Saida is preferred.

Working Hours:

1 session per class per week (Total of 4 sessions weekly)

Total duration: 160 hours over 10 months
