Hariri Foundation (HF)
The Hariri Foundation for Sustainable Human Development is a Lebanese non-governmental organization with special consultative status in the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC). The Hariri Foundation is dedicated to sustainable development across various sectors, including Education & Digital Transformation, Socioeconomic Development, Active Citizenship, Sustainability & Climate Action, and Public Health & Wellbeing. HF operates in partnership with stakeholders to promote citizen engagement, social cohesion, and community resilience.
Key Responsibilities
Editorial Oversight
- Support the Editor-in-Chief in implementing the editorial vision and quality standards.
- Develop editorial structures, including style guides, tone, and voice guidelines for consistency across content.
- Tailor best editorial practices to align with Enmaeya’s mission and audience.
- Maintain and coordinate the editorial calendar, ensuring timely, balanced content across formats and sectors.
- Recommend themes and content ideas based on global and local policy trends.
- Review and edit all submitted content to ensure accuracy, alignment with editorial tone, and adherence to Enmaeya’s values.
- Provide guidance and feedback to contributors and freelancers.
- Approve all public-facing material (editorial and marketing) to ensure brand and voice consistency.
- Oversee Arabic translation review, especially AI-generated content, to ensure accuracy and contextual relevance.
Collaboration & Coordination
- Liaise with marketing, communications, and research teams to ensure cohesive editorial output.
- Attend editorial meetings and help set content direction and priorities.
Required Qualifications
- Bilingual: Fluency in both Arabic and English (written and spoken) is essential.
- Exceptional proficiency in English writing and editing, with the ability to adapt tone and style for different audiences.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in journalism, editing, or content development.
- Proven track record in writing and editing news articles—preferably with a portfolio covering development, education, health, environment, economy, and artificial intelligence (AI).
- Strong editorial judgment and the ability to synthesize complex information into accessible, engaging content.
- Demonstrated familiarity with international development trends, key global actors, and sector-specific policy debates.
