M&E Officer

The M&E Officer is responsible for the implementation of M&E related activities within MARSA’s projects and the provision of timely and relevant information to project stakeholders, including donors. This entails close communication with the program staff and implementing partners to ensure M&E System is implemented effectively within the organization and via partners.

Functions:
 Support the program team in developing a system to ensure that the program planning,
including inputs and targets, is aligned with the overall program logframes and other types of M&E indicators.
 Develop an overall M&E plan and manage day-to-day operations of the M&E system, including support of project officers (field staff) in continued implementation of M&E tools and instruments.
 Draft data collection tools and digitalize them, as deemed relevant for the projects.
 If needed, support in translating data collection tools to Arabic or English based on needs.
 Ensure data received is accurate and useable for integration into the database and reporting.
 Ensure timely compilation of internal and external progress reports or dashboards (monthly, quarterly and annually), and maintain updated progress dashboards.
 Provide monthly and quarterly analysis report.
 Provide monitoring and evaluation support to partner organizations.
 Conduct field monitoring visits and generate related reports.
 Organize Focus group discussion and other qualitative assessments or quantitative surveys and analyse related data/information.


Qualifications:
 At least hold a Bachelor degree in relevant field like Public health, sociology, demography and statistics or equivalent field experience.
 Have at least one year work experience in similar role.
 Formal training in monitoring and evaluation will be an added advantage
 Demonstrable competencies in setting up M&E systems will be an added advantage
 Competency in both quantitative and qualitative research methods.


Skills:
 Knowledge of working with local government bodies and community.
 Skill in organizing work of self and others.
 Good communication and inter-personal skills, team player, able to work under minimal supervision.
 Good analytical and IT skills
 Proficient with Microsoft office package
 Fluency in English, Arabic is necessary fluency in French is an asset.
