Aligned Help Assistant - 0611

Zati Lebanon Association is launching a mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS) initiative across Beirut and Mount Lebanon, targeting children, adults, and elderly individuals affected by conflict-related stress and trauma. To support our field teams, we are seeking dedicated and compassionate university students or recent graduates to serve as Aligned Help Assistants over a 5.5-month engagement period. Starting Mid-june till End of november 2025.

3 Aligned Help Assistants (1/region) will directly support psychologists and facilitators during field sessions, including emotional support activities with children, group therapy workshops for parents, and awareness events. This role is ideal for individuals looking to gain practical experience in the humanitarian, education, or mental health sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist psychologists during trauma-informed play therapy and group support sessions

Help with session setup, logistics, participant guidance, and note-taking

Support children and adults during drawing, storytelling, and reflection activities

Uphold Zati’s child safeguarding, do-no-harm, and confidentiality policies

Participate in team debriefs and reflect on field learnings with the core staff

Contribute to inclusive, safe, and respectful spaces for all participants

Eligibility Criteria:

Currently studying or recently graduated

Must reside in or near Chiyah, Barja, or Hay El Gharbi

Available and committed from June to end of November 2025

Demonstrates strong empathy, professionalism, and commitment to humanitarian ethics

Interest in trauma care, community outreach, and working with vulnerable populations
