Baby Care and First Aid Trainer

We are looking for a Baby Care and First Aid Trainer to lead sessions in our Achrafieh and Baabda/

About the Position:

Tabitha is seeking a qualified trainer to deliver practical and engaging sessions on baby care and basic first aid techniques for caregivers, parents, and community members. The trainer will play a key role in promoting child well-being and safety awareness among vulnerable populations.

Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

  • Deliver training sessions on baby care (hygiene, feeding, safety, growth milestones)
  • Provide first aid instructions
  • Use interactive and inclusive teaching methods appropriate for diverse audiences
  • Develop and adapt training materials in coordination with the project team
  • Monitor participants' understanding and provide individual support as needed
  • Conduct pre- and post-training assessments
  • Support in coordinating logistics and participant attendance
  • Document training outcomes and provide regular reports to the program manager
  • Ensure a safe and respectful learning environment during all sessions
  • Attend regular team meetings and refresher workshops as required
  • Abide by Tabitha's guidelines and policies

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Certified in first aid and/or healthcare training
  • Background in nursing, midwifery, early childhood education, or a related field
  • Experience working with mothers, caregivers, or young children
  • Strong facilitation and communication skills
  • Able to manage group dynamics and encourage active participation
  • Comfortable working in community-based settings
  • Fluent in Arabic; English is a plus

Experience:

  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience in delivering training or health education
  • Prior work with NGOs or in humanitarian contexts is an asset
  • A driving license and access to transportation is preferred
