Services required from International Medical Corps to support assignment
Arrange for physical and/or online trainings and coordinate between trainer and participants
1. BACKGROUND TO THE ASSIGNMENT:
Provide brief background to project and how it aligns to International Medical Corps objectives and priorities.
IMC’s Community health program conducts a series of Health and Nutrition trainings for a group of Community Health Workers who are Syrians and Lebanese volunteers expected to raise awareness among both refugee and host communities.
2. PURPOSE OF THE ASSIGNMENT:
Detail the purpose of the project
The training will be based on the CH guidebook, which includes a set of sessions and activities, that were created in order to facilitate the implementation of CH clubs and campaigns by CHWs.
Training topics include, non-communicable diseases, infectious diseases, nutrition during the life cycle, immunization, personal hygiene, family planning, maternal and child health, physical disability and other health topics. Other trainings consist of addictions, depression, parenting skills, home accidents and communication skills.
3. SCOPE OF THE ASSIGNMENT:
The CH consultant will be responsible of the following:
- Develop training material (PowerPoint presentations/Handouts), and training Agenda
- Deliver training on pre-set date based on training schedule
- Prepare interactive activities to involve volunteers in active learning
- Create pre and post tests to allow measurement of knowledge improvement
- Review/create session plans from/for the CHW guidebook and provide technical feedback

Consultant Specifications
To perform this consultancy successfully, an individual must be able to perform each task with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Medical doctor
- Proven experience in delivering comprehensive health training, with at least three years of relevant work experience.
- Strong knowledge of national guidelines, protocols, and counseling techniques.
- Demonstrated ability to engage and train healthcare professionals, with a focus on practical and interactive methodologies.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, with experience in coordinating training logistics and post-training evaluations.
- Ability to deliver training both in person and online, utilizing digital platforms effectively.

All the above deliverables are expected to be fulfilled throughout 2025 in different trainings that will take place

6. TRANSFER OF SKILLS (IF ANY)
Detail how any transfer of skills will be completed following the assignment
Awareness raising skills will need to be transferred from the trainer to the participants

3.Payment
Payments are delivery-based. Any deliverable not meeting the required specifications will have to be reworked and resubmitted at no additional cost.
− The proposed payment schedule for this assignment (total budget) is 300_________ USD for training day, 75 USD for reviewing technical session plans, and 150 USD for creating new session plan
− To be paid (e.g daily, monthly, end of assignment, on a specific date): ___at the end of the assignment ________________
− International Medical Corps shall pay Consultant at hourly, daily, monthly rate. Daily at 300 USD, or 75 or 150 USD as stated above
− Minimum hours per day: ___6_____ and Maximum hours per day: ___8
Payments are made upon submission of progress reports on completed tasks, outlined against planned outputs. Based on the report and satisfactory performance, payments will be certified by the supervisor.
4.TITLE RIGHTS
International Medical Corps shall be entitled to all property rights including but not limited to patents, copyrights and trademarks with regard to material, which bears a direct relation to, or is made in consequence of, the services provided to the organization by the consultant.
5.INSURANCE
Consultants are fully responsible for arranging, at their own expense, such life, health and other forms of insurance covering their period of service on behalf of International Medical Corps as they consider appropriate. Consultants are not eligible to participate in life or health insurance schemes available to International Medical Corps employees
6.TAXATION
International Medical Corps undertake no liability for taxes, duty or other contributions payable by the consultant on payments under this contract.
7.TERMINATION OF CONTRACT
Either party may terminate this contract before the expiry date of the contract by giving notice in writing to the other party.
The period of notice shall be 5 days in case of contract less than 2 months duration and 30 days in the case of contracts for longer periods; provided however that the in the event of termination on the grounds of misconduct or the in the event of termination on the grounds of misconduct or poor performance by the consultant, International Medical Corps shall be entitled to terminate the contract without notice.
In the event of the contract being terminated prior to its due expiry date, the consultant shall be compensated pro rata for no more than the actual amount of work performed to the satisfaction of International Medical Corps.
