Psychiatrist - North

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Conduct monthly visits to the supported PHCC in Akkar. 
  • After completing all consultations on the days present at the PHCC, the psychiatrist is required to engage in case discussions with the team. These sessions aim to review patient progress and action points collaboratively. 
  • Participate in the bi-monthly psychiatric presentation organized by the MH team. During these meetings, the team collectively discusses and presents a specific topic from their respective perspectives, including the case manager, psychologist, and psychiatrist. 
  • Ensure that accurate and up-to-date filings are maintained on Drive and within the PHCCs' records. 
  • Assist in any necessary reporting and contribute to the completion of required data on KOBO.  
  • Follow up with beneficiaries to ensure that they are responding positively to treatment and make amendments to the treatment plan when necessary 
  • Receive referrals from RI’s Clinical Psychologists, PHCC’s General Practitioners, and other NGOs. 
  • Actively coordinate with and technically support the PHCC’s General Practitioners that have been trained in mhGAP on their progress towards treating MH patients and referral mechanisms.

Medical degree required (MD and Psychiatry) with Psychiatry degree registered at the Lebanese Order of Psychiatrists.
Mastery of the psychiatric assessment and usage of ICD 10/ICD 11 terminology.
