I) About Developmental Action without Borders, Naba'a:

Developmental Action without Borders - Naba’a, is a Lebanese NGO operational since 2001. Registered under the Ministry of Interior (no. 104/AD), Naba’a is dedicated to serving all marginalized communities in Lebanon, especially children, without distinction of nationality, color, race, or religion. This includes communities within camps and gatherings in Lebanon, as well as local Lebanese communities.

II) Nabaa's Employment Screening and Protection Protocol: 

Developmental Action without Borders, Naba’a, does not employ individuals who are married to children (persons under 18). Naba’a enforces a strict zero-tolerance policy regarding sexual exploitation and abuse, sexual harassment, abuse of authority, and discrimination. All prospective candidates must undergo thorough reference and background checks which will mainly verify employment history, professional performance, and adherence to the aforementioned policies. Furthermore, the selected candidates must provide a satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Screening or an equivalent criminal record check as a condition of employment.

III.  Key Responsibilities of CRG Assistant:

1. Facilitate Child-Led Advocacy Campaigns

  • Facilitate child-led advocacy campaigns on the field level.

2. Child Rights Promotion and Initiatives

  • Conduct child-led initiatives to promote child rights in the recovery phase.
  • Conduct awareness sessions for children on their rights.

3. Capacity Building for Children

  • Build the capacity of children in non-violent communication, conflict resolution, and peacebuilding, as well as other essential topics.

4. Caregiver Engagement and Awareness

  • Organize and implement awareness sessions for caregivers on child rights and life skills.

5. Data Collection and Research Support

  • Conduct focus group discussions to conclude figures, collecting quantitative and qualitative data to support Nabaa’s research and assessments.

6. Reporting

  • Prepare and submit timely, accurate, and comprehensive progress reports, in accordance with the project’s requirements.

7. Compliance with Policies

  • Adhere to Nabaa’s Code of Conduct and protection-related policies, including the Child Safeguarding Policy, PSEAH, Anti-Corruption Policy, and Complaint Mechanism.

8. Other Responsibilities

  • Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor to ensure the successful implementation of the program and to contribute to the organization’s overall mission.

IV) Academic and Professional Qualifications:

1. Academic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work or Human Rights or Law, or a related field

2. Professional Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of experience in child rights-based programming, preferably within the NGO sector.
  • Knowledge of child rights frameworks, CRG principles, and participatory approaches with children.
  • Proven experience in organizing training sessions and advocacy campaigns with or for children.

V)  Competencies

1. Soft skills (as needed for the selected tasks)

  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills
  • Proficient written and verbal communication, and reporting skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team

2. Technical Skills (as needed for the selected tasks)

  • Sound knowledge of child protection principles and child rights frameworks
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and internet-based research
  • Strong report writing and documentation skills
  • Excellent knowledge in Child rights
