Project Management Officer

        Role Description of the Project Management Officer: 

  • Works closely with the Secretary General to develop comprehensive fundraising goals and strategies that align with the MECC’s mission and values. This involves presenting fundraising plans and performance metrics to ensure that fundraising activities are aligned with the council’s overall strategic plan.
  • Provides professional plan to raise funds in a cost-effective and time-efficient manner, develops and implements fundraising initiatives that maximize income and support the growth & development of related programs and projects.
  • Monitors and analyses fundraising data to evaluate performance and adjust strategies as needed.
  • Focuses on building and sustaining collaborative relationships with various internal and external partners, on nurturing existing partnerships, also on developing and maintaining new ones. Thisrole involves researching, prospecting, cultivating, and managing relationships with donors. 
  • Coordinates fundraising activities of the different departments and ensures that the MECC’s development efforts are successful and that donor support is maximized.
  • Writes project proposals or improves their quality if written by others, and formulates integrated projects coupled with economic and social feasibility to be submitted to partners.
  • Follows up on contracts related to projects coming from partners.
  • Follows up on project implementation reports to be sent to funding partners
  • Works closely with the Communications team to develop and execute effective donor communications and marketing materials

     Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in Marketing, Management, Social Sciences or related fields
  • More than 5 years professional experience in fundraising, development, project proposals writing, project management, or related fields
  • Experience in events management for local fundraising
  • Proficiency wth popular fundraising software as well as experience with donor databases and online fundraising platforms
  • Demonstrated success in managing and meeting fundraising goals
  • Creative and strategic thinker with exceptional analytical abilities, including the ability to analyze data, draw conclusions, and develop recommendations
  • Good organization and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and deliver/produce work under pressure
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, and public speaking skills
  • Able to work independently as well as demonstrated ability to work collaboratively
  • Good knowledge of written and spoken Arabic and English. French is a plus.
