PSS Trainer

As part of a community well-being initiative, a series of psychosocial support (PSS) sessions will be delivered in the Chouf area under She Rises project . These sessions aim to provide emotional support, build coping mechanisms, and promote mental health awareness among targeted community members. A qualified PSS Trainer is required to facilitate 8 interactive sessions over a 3-month period.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement 8 psychosocial support sessions (2 hours each) aligned with the needs of the target group.
  • Create a safe and inclusive environment that encourages participant engagement and expression.
  • Use participatory and age-appropriate methods such as group discussions, role plays, storytelling, or relaxation techniques.
  • Monitor group dynamics and refer any critical cases to appropriate support services.
  • Develop and deliver engaging PSS training sessions covering topics such as stress management, coping strategies, resilience building
  • Provide practical tools and resources to support participants in managing psychosocial challenges
  • Foster a compassionate and non-judgmental space for participants to share their experiences and seek support
  • Coordinate with the project focal point regarding schedules, materials, and logistics.
  • Prepare pre and posttest.
  • Submit report at the end of the course with participants evaluation.
  • All materials should be provided in English and Arabic.

Qualifications :

  • Relevant academic background in psychology, social work, or a related field.
  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience facilitating PSS or related community support sessions.
  • Knowledge of PSS principles and participatory facilitation techniques.
  • Strong communication and group management skills.
  • Availability to deliver all 8 sessions between August and October 2025.
  • Fluency in Arabic; basic English is an asset.

 

Expert trainers will be selected based on:

  • The proposal and methodology suggested and its fit for the program’s objectives (Technical Proposal).
  • Expert CV and proven track records and experience in the required field
